September Newsletter

How is it September already?

This past month has been busy as always. We've had plenty of sewing lessons (there are just a few places left for September!), I've been working hard on my JUNK2FUNK entry (photos coming soon!), and we've also launched a few new garments. We have also been named as finalists in the 2023 Electra Business & Innovation awards - wish us luck, please!

Thank you for staying tuned with our little store and workroom, and for supporting NZ-made!

Love,

Introducing the Juli-Pant! This is your soon-to-be, favourite wardrobe staple! These versatile trousers are designed with comfort and shape in mind. They're stretchy, supportive, and have a flattering cut. They can be worn beneath skirts and dresses or just on their own. Perfect to wear across a range of styles. We're putting more pairs up online regularly, so keep checking back. All garments are also available for purchase at the Eco Friendly Style Collab.

Thank you to everyone who has attended a sewing lesson. I love teaching and empowering people through learning to sew. Plus, it's wonderful to see the finished garments and happy faces at the end of class! September lessons are almost completely sold out, but we still have a couple of spots left in our "make your own trousers" class.

On a similar note, I'm excited to announce that I'll soon be running sewing lessons at the Kāpiti Women's Centre. The dates will be:

  • Tuesday 21st November from 11:30 - 2:30

  • Tuesday 28th November from 11:30 - 2:30

We'll update you when we have more information about these, but if you'd like to register in the meantime, simply pop in and visit Kāpiti Women's Centre (7 Ngahina Street, Paraparaumu) or give them a call (04 902 6222).

Introducing our Marion dress! They are gorgeous, fun, and feminine, with a lovely, flattering cut. We currently just have this pink colourway online, but more will be available over the next few weeks. All garments are also available for purchase at the Eco Friendly Style Collab.

A few new pairs of dungarees have made their way online too. Here we have safari and cranberry, both sized large (18 - 22). Each pair has a drawstring waist to ensure a perfect fit, alongside two pockets.

We're proud to announce that we've been named as finalists in the retail category of the Electra Business & Innovation awards. These awards acknowledge and celebrate the successes of our local business community. Watch this space for updates!
