March 2024 Newsletter

I'm feeling really positive about all the changes I'm putting into place for this year.

At the end of last year, I had a bit of a lightbulb moment.

You know when the steps between A and B suddenly become crystal clear?

I'd been feeling a bit burnt out. Running myself into the ground. Trying to do everything and be everything to keep my businesses afloat.

And then I realised -

Some of what I was doing wasn't getting me to be where I wanted to be.

I love making sustainable, NZ-made pieces. I love upcycling. I love teaching sewing lessons. And I love bringing normalising the art of repairs and alterations.

But I'd been getting a bit sidetracked. Going down every avenue, trying to make ends meet.

And it was exhausting.

I realised that I needed to simplify everything and find some balance.

Just to focus on doing what will help me reach my goals.

So, from here on out, the only new pieces I'll be making are undies, dungarees, bum bags, and Seonaid dresses.

These are what everyone enjoys the most, and I get a huge amount of joy out of making them.

This will largely be my focus for this year, alongside the many sewing lessons we have planned.

Although I love getting creative and trying out new things, I need to take some time to pause, reflect, and go forward with a clearer head.

With this in mind, I'm excited to send some older stock out into the big wide world. I've taken 50% off all of our current dresses, dungarees, clutches, purses, bags, pants, and aprons.

This sale is for today (2nd) and tomorrow (3rd) only, with free shipping on all urban NZ orders over $50. We also offer Laybuy and Afterpay, as well as free drop-off in the Kāpiti Coast.

A quick note before I sign off:

Our sewing lessons are booking up quickly, and I can't wait to get started! Classes start at only $24.50, and you can book in here. All ages and skill levels are welcome.

Thank you for reading my novel!
